Anchor Pearl Cotton #3 is the largest size in the pearl cotton range, and an ideal thread for beginners as it does not untwist while working and creates uniform stitches. Suitable for 7-count through 11-count fabrics, for a wide range of techniques, including crewel embroidery, cross stitch and counted thread embroidery, needlepoint, canvas work, as well as crochet.

Anchor Pearl Cotton #5 is the second largest size in the pearl cotton range, and suitable for a wide range of techniques, including crewel embroidery, free-style embroidery, needlepoint, canvas work, crochet, and blanket stitching. For sewing, it can also be used in the upper looper of a serger for special decorative edge finishes.
 

Anchor Pearl Cotton Size 8 Double-combed and mercerized for exceptional sheen and workability, Anchor Pearl Cotton #8 is a versatile, premium quality embroidery thread made from 100% long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton.

Highly lustrous and smooth, this softly twisted, 2-ply non-divisible embroidery thread is suitable for crochet, needlepoint, canvaswork, cross stitch, counted thread embroidery, blackwork, hardanger, huck weaving, quilting, and tatting. It can also be used in the bobbin of a conventional sewing machine for reverse embroidery, as well as in the upper looper of a serger.

Anchor Pearl Cotton Size 12 Double-combed and mercerized for high luster, superior strength and exceptional workability. Anchor Pearl Cotton #12 is the finest diameter of the range and can be used for both hand needlework, as well as for certain machine applications.

Hand techniques include counted cross stitch, pulled thread embroidery, smocking, tatting, hardanger and many other counted thread techniques. Pearl Cotton #12 can also be used in both loopers of a serger, as well as in the needle and bobbin of a conventional sewing machine.
