Some Tough Decisions!!

We have had to make a few really tough decisions these past few months. For a little over a year now we have been putting off the inevitable. Due to family commitments and needs we are going to have to close Yarn & Thread by Lisa.
Right now we do have a lady that is interested in buying Yarn & Thread by Lisa. But we have no way of knowing how much of the business she will keep the same. We are waiting for approval on her loan. If her loan is approved she will take control of the business immediately. I will remain here for awhile to show her how we do things. After that it will be all hers.
If her loan is not approved then we will be selling out all of our yarn inventory, shelving, computers….the works. I will be taking a small portion of the business home to work there. Right now I am building that site. You can find our new smaller business at www.cotton-corner.com
No, we will not be carrying any of the yarns anymore. We will only be carrying the Stamped Embroidery and Cross Stitch items and the DMC Embroidery Floss. The Crochet Cotton is still up in the air. I would like to continue carrying it but we will have to see what space will allow. I have to keep the inventory down to something that I can manage myself and still be there for my family.
I look forward to still serving our embroidery customers. And I will sorely miss the rest of you. It has been 18 wonderful years!!
As changes arise I will post them here. So if you want to stay in the loop make sure you check back.

Anniversary Sale

I've been so busy getting all the products up at the new web store I almost forgot this is Yarn & Thread by Lisa's Anniversary Week!! We are celebrating our 17th year!!

Well, that batch of Sashay Yarn did not last long. We should have more coming in within the next week or 2. They have new colors out and I’m trying to get my hands on them.

We received some more Sashay Yarn today. Not everything we ordered...but we do have some more in stock. I'll be posting it to our web store as soon as we can get it all checked in. Remember for inventory purposes this yarn is not available in the storefront. It is only available online. So if you are a local customer please make your selection online and put in the “Special Instructions” when you will be picking it up. Orders for pick-up are only held for 3 business days.

The Sashay yarn just arrived. We are checking it in and sorting for all the backorders. They shorted our order of course!! But we have enough for all the backorders. I'm just not sure how many skeins we are going to have left to post on the web. As soon as we finish pulling for the backorders I'll post the rest for sale at the website.

Well, the available date for the Sashay has been moved back again. Now they are saying my shipment should ship the 30th. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
Also I have gotten my hands on a couple of the Starbella colors. I'll be posting them to the website within the next couple of hours!!

As of right now I should have more of the Sashay arriving around the 25th. But remember they have moved the date back before. So no promises, I just wanted to let you know that I’m still on top of it and trying to get more of the Sashay in stock.

Okay, now this is getting really frustrating. They keep moving the expected ship date for my shipment!!
I appreciate all of you being so patient waiting for this yarn. I know it's frustrating for all of you as well. I have all of your orders on backorder though. And as soon as my shipment arrives the orders will be filled in the order they were received.
If any of you need to cancel your order I understand. Just drop me an email. But at least with your order on a backorder you know you will get it sometime!! We just can not pin point a date right now.
I'll post any other information that I receive right here so check back often.

Well from the looks of it our Twist & Twirl yarn will arrive on Tuesday!! We're not getting everything that we ordered, but it will be enough to fill the backorders with a bit leftover.
So, all of the backorders for the Twist & Twirl yarn will ship on Tuesday. Any remaining inventory will be posted online for sale after the backorders are taken care of.
I just thought I'd give you a heads up!! Thank you all for your patience with all of this!!

It seems that several of you did not receive your email updates for the Sashay and the Twist & Twirl Yarns. This does not surprise me. We had a computer melt down between the holidays. So I'm not sure what emails went out and what ones did not. So I figured I would make a quick post here giving everyone an update.
Our new shopping cart was so overwhelmed by the number of shoppers both yarn lines actually ended up with a negative stock count. In all the years I have been selling yarn the only other yarn I have seen go this fast is the Boa when Bernat first brought it out!!
So all orders that we were unable to fill went on backorder in the order they were received. We have more Sashay and Twist & Twirl coming in within the next few days. From what I know right now we should have ours by mid month. Once the orders are filled any leftover skeins will be put up in the shopping cart.
I thank you all for your patience with all of this. I am very sorry for the delay. I had no idea this yarn was going to be so popular!!
If any of you need to cancel your order I understand completely. Just email me and I will gladly take care of that immediately.
